Peer Review Process

The peer-review process is carried out to ensure that the best scientific articles, can be published in the Jurnal Asiimetrik: Jurnal Ilmiah Rekayasa Dan Inovasi. The peer-review process is made as an objective method that deciding the excellence of an article in scientific publications, and this process is adopted by all leading scientific journals. Our Editor Board plays important roles in maintaining the standard quality of scientific articles published in the Jurnal Asiimetrik: Jurnal Ilmiah Rekayasa Dan Inovasi and under these conditions, all submissions will be reviewed following the procedure outlined below.   

First Evaluation of Manuscripts

First, one of the Editor Board Team evaluated all manuscripts submitted to the Jurnal Asiimetrik: Jurnal Ilmiah Rekayasa Dan Inovasi. These conditions are rare, but manuscripts with good quality will probably pass this stage. Manuscripts whose rejected at this stage include a lack of authenticity (see the plagiarism guidelines), have serious scientific weaknesses, have a proper and standard grammatical structure, or fall outside the scope of purpose and scope (Focus and Scope) Jurnal Asiimetrik: Jurnal Ilmiah Rekayasa Dan Inovasi. The manuscript that qualifies will proceed to the next stage for review by reviewers at least one person.

Manuscripts rejected at this step will be notified within two weeks of receipt.  

Type of The Peer Review

Jurnal Asiimetrik: Jurnal Ilmiah Rekayasa Dan Inovasi uses a review system with a 'double-blind' review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.  

How The Reviewer Can be Selected

Reviewers evaluate the manuscripts as:

  1. The level of authenticity from the author's mindset (including the data presented in the manuscripts)
  2. What is the research methodology following the results of data obtained, and easy for other authors to follow when used as a reference?

  4. The arrangement of previous reference research list (state of the art) used by the authors of the manuscripts as a reference material
  5. Following the precise written guidelines, including in terms of plagiarism
  6. Have a new level (novelty) to develop science following the field in question

Grammar correction is not part of the peer-review process, but Reviewers are driven to suggest grammar and style corrections in the manuscripts. In the final stage of the revision, the Editorial Boards have to check matters regarding grammar and style and can advise or inform the author about the correction process. In this case, the manuscripts returned to the author for revision or correction of the journal.

How long will the review process take?

The time required for the manuscripts review process depends on the Reviewer's response. Jurnal Asiimetrik: Jurnal Ilmiah Rekayasa Dan Inovasi uses an average review processing time for the first round of Reviewers for six weeks, with a maximum time of 3 months. If the review results of the Reviewers contradict or different from another, and Reviewers will be searched. In this case, when it's difficult to find another reviewer, the Editorial Boards can be used as the next Reviewers with relying on the review results of the Reviewers, because only the policy of the Editorial Boards that can accept, reject or provide information on the revision of the manuscripts to the authors. The Editorial Board's decision will be sent to the manuscript's author, along with the review results of the Reviewers. As a rule, revised manuscripts can be submitted back into the system for further review directly to Reviewers. 

Final Decision from Reviewers

The final decision of the manuscripts to be accepted or rejected will be sent to the author along with the reviewer results of the recommendations Reviewers, including (if any) comments from the Editorial Boards.

Reviewers can provide input to the Editorial Boards in charge of the final decision to accept or reject the manuscripts. This mechanism follows the guidelines of the Publication Ethics Committee (COPE) which can be accessed in
