PENANGANAN PELESTARIAN BANGUNAN CAGAR BUDAYA MASJID AGUNG SANG CIPTA RASA CIREBON
Abstract
Sang Cipta Rasa Cirebon's Great Mosque is an important cultural heritage structure that exhibits the distinctiveness of Indonesian regional culture. It is one of Indonesia's oldest mosques thanks to this structure, which is more than 500 years old and has a fascinating historical background. A masterpiece with an architectural past that depicts the diversity of social and religious life in the community during its development is the Great Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa. Raden Sepat, the architect, was a native of the Hindu kingdom of Majapahit. This mosque's design is full with symbolic meanings, ideals, and elements that reflect the archipelago's early Islamic past as well as its long history of civilization. The physical quality and significance of the building's architectural aspects, particularly the architectural elements, are currently declining. The building's historical significance and cultural significance are impacted. The purpose of this study is to outline the preservation efforts made to uphold the principles of the Great Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa. This study employed a descriptive-qualitative methodology that included field observations, documentation, interviews, discussions, and a review of the literature. The management strategy makes use of a number of sources and recommendations for maintaining historically significant structures. To restore, maintain, and protect the Sang Cipta Rasa Great Mosque structure, preservation efforts are required.
