IDENTIFIKASI PEMANFAATAN BANTARAN SUNGAI DI PERMUKIMAN 10 ULU PALEMBANG
Abstract
The Musi River is the largest in Palembang, South Sumatra. One of the areas on the banks of the Musi River is the 10 Ulu residential area. Various activities by the 10 Ulu settlement utilize the Musi River water, which has become a source of daily life. From the existing settlements, various activities are carried out in their daily life. Because they live close to the water's edge, residents use the banks of the Musi River in their activities, such as washing, bathing and disposing of kitchen waste from existing settlements. The purpose of this study was to provide an overview of the use of riverbanks for functions and activities at the water's edge in the residential area of 10 Ulu. This writing uses a qualitative descriptive method with primary data collection in the form of field observations. The results of the study will show that the use of the Musi riverbanks does not only function as activities carried out by the surrounding settlements in carrying out their daily needs but also has other functions, namely as a public leisure area and as a tourist area on the waterfront of the 10 Ulu Palembang settlement.
