Abstract

Education must be considered in the development of human resources. The quality of education will affect learning outcomes. School is one of the places that is needed for foster students or learning participants so that they are able to think well and become better individuals. The design of an Islamic school will usually use attributes from the Middle East or Arabic culture such as arched gates, green, white and cream paint colors, ornaments, domes and so on. This is not wrong, but its nature is only on the surface, not deep to the meaning of why this is in the school. Laying out the same rooms as schools in general does not give character to Islamic schools. Monotonous laying of buildings is also less attractive from an aesthetic standpoint. This is the background for the planning of the Islamic school master plan. The method used in planning this master plan is the transformation method. It is hoped that the results of this transformation will give arrangement of new buildings and forms so that the character of Islamic schools will be more visible and aesthetically better.
