A recent study used convenience sampling to gather data from 404 participants to explore the relationship between work-life balance and parenting stress. The researchers used the Work-Life Balance Scale and the Parenting Stress Index-Short Form (PSI-SF) as tools to measure these two variables. The results revealed a positive correlation between work-life balance and parenting stress. The interference of work with personal life and vice versa was found to be associated with personal distress and childrearing stress. On the other hand, the work/personal life enhancement aspect of work-life balance was negatively correlated with both aspects of parenting stress. These findings highlight the importance of maintaining the mental health of working mothers by balancing their work and personal roles, as it enables them to cope with parenting stress, which ultimately affects the psychological well-being of their children and families.
Natahniela Esterina Devi jatmika Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Ilmiah Psikologi MIND SET 2024-06-30 2024-06-30 15 01 1 17 10.35814/mindset.v15i01.4289 Pengujian Validitas Indonesian Academic Resilience Scale pada Mahasiswa https://journal.univpancasila.ac.id/index.php/mindset/article/view/5828
The Indonesian Academic Resilience Scale developed by Ramdani, et al. (2020) has demonstrated good validity evidence in measuring academic resilience among school student groups. This study aims to complement the validity evidence of this measurement tool in a university student population. The sample in this study consisted of active students from a university in Jakarta (n=200). Validity evidence was assessed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) techniques and correlations with other measurement tools. The CFA results showed that the item factor loadings ranged from 0.52 to 0.83. Reliability was assessed using internal consistency reliability (α = 0.476 – 0.778). The test results indicated that adjustments to the measurement tool are needed for use with university students, retaining only 16 out of 27 items.
Andri Setia Dharma Ni Made Rai Kistyanti Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Ilmiah Psikologi MIND SET 2024-06-30 2024-06-30 15 01 18 27 10.35814/mindset.v15i01.5828 Peran Self-Compassion Terhadap Depresi Pada Mahasiswa Dengan Resiliensi Sebagai Mediator https://journal.univpancasila.ac.id/index.php/mindset/article/view/5829
The increasing responsibilities and demands faced by university students often make them vulnerable to depressive symptoms. A study was conducted to explore how self-compassion affects depressive symptoms among students, with resilience playing a mediating role. The study involved 200 university students (164 females) from a university in Jakarta. Mediation analysis was performed using the MedMod module with bootstrap estimation method, using 1000 resamples to estimate mediation effects and establish 95% confidence intervals. The results indicated that resilience partially mediated the relationship between self-compassion and depression. Students with higher self-compassion tend to be less self-critical when facing failure, perceive difficult situations as something that can happen to anyone, and maintain a balanced perspective without overgeneralizing. These characteristics of self-compassion enhance resilience, which in turn contributes to reducing depressive symptoms during challenging times.
Ni Made Rai Kistyanti Andri Setia Dharma Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Ilmiah Psikologi MIND SET 2024-06-30 2024-06-30 15 01 28 38 10.35814/mindset.v15i01.5829 Hubungan antara Kepercayaan Diri dengan Self-disclosure Remaja Awal Generasi Z https://journal.univpancasila.ac.id/index.php/mindset/article/view/5407
The Impact of social media on human life, especially early adolescents of Generation Z, is significant as they often share personal information on social media platforms to feel accepted. This study aimed to explore the correlation between self-confidence and self-disclosure among early adolescents who are currently part of Generation Z in Indonesia. This study used a quantitative method with a sample size of 310 participants selected through incidental sampling technique. This research needs to be done because self-compassion is stated to have an important role in self-adjustment to chronic skin conditions so that it can be a therapy to reduce psychological distress in sufferers. Self-compassion refers to how individuals relate to themselves in the face of failure, disability, life challenges, or suffering, feel connected to others who also suffer, and understand and support themselves during difficult times. The purpose of this generic qualitative research is to get an overview of the dynamics of self-compassion in women who suffer from psoriasis and are in early adulthood. In-depth interviews were conducted with three women with psoriasis aged 18-29 years about their experiences with psoriasis. Conclusion: all subjects of this study, namely emerging adulthood women who experience psoriasis, have shown self-compassion with a description of positive and negative behaviors that match the main dimensions of Neff's Self-Compassion Theory, namely self-kindness; self-judgement; common humanity; isolation; mindfulness; overidentification/avoidance. They always try to make progress in a more positive direction. Research findings: social support, self-acceptance, negative emotions, anxiety disorders. Research implications and limitations, theoretical and practical suggestions are also discussed.
Dinda Novira Widyani Putri Evanytha A. Eka Septilla A. M.
