Abstract

A memorable tourist experience is a benchmark for tourists in participating in open trips. The purpose of this study is to narrate the experiences of tourists who participated in an open trip to 11 European countries with Wish Travelers. The data collection method was participatory observation, with the participants directly involved in this open trip. The number of tour participants was 34 people accompanied by 1 Tour Leader and a content creator. The data analysis method used was a narrative study that provided space for respondents to tell their tour experiences on a questionnaire given in the form of a Google Form. The findings of this study are that out of 10 MTE indicators, only 5 indicators meet the memorable tourist experience, namely the points of knowledge, novelty, local culture, refreshment, and hedonism. This is supported by the European Continent tourist destination, which is indeed a tourist destination with distinctive mountain scenery, building architecture, and interesting food. The variety of activities, service quality, meaningfulness, tour facilities, and involvement are still very lacking due to the very dense tour progra,m and reducing the quality of the tour felt by participants because the time is too short at each destination. This study recommends the importance of paying attention to the quality of travel plans, not just pursuing the quantity of destinations, so that tourists can achieve maximum memorable experiences
