Undergraduate students who work on their thesis often face academic challenges such as procrastination, stress, and the risk of dropping out. To cope with these pressures, strong academic resilience is essential. This study examines the correlation between hope and academic resilience among thesis students. A quantitative correlational design was employed with purposive sampling, involving 433 thesis students in Jakarta. The instruments used were The Hope Scale and the Indonesian version of the Academic Resilience Scale-30. The results revealed a significant positive correlation between hope and academic resilience. Interestingly, students whose thesis topics did not align with their interests scored higher in pathway thinking, perseverance, and adaptive help-seeking. These findings highlight the importance of hope in enhancing academic resilience, regardless of topic-interest alignment.
