Plagiarism Check

The editors of Devotion: Jurnal Pengabdian Psikologi will run a plagiarism check using Turnitin on all submitted manuscripts prior to sending them to reviewers. We do not process any plagiarised content. If a manuscript has a similarity score of over 25% based on the Turnitin result, we will return the manuscript to the author to be revised accordingly.

Devotion: Jurnal Pengabdian Psikologi  maintains a strict policy against plagiarism to ensure the originality and integrity of the scholarly works it publishes. We are committed to publishing original research and adhere to the highest standards of publication ethics. All authors submitting manuscripts to Devotion: Jurnal Pengabdian Psikologi must affirm that their work is original and has not been plagiarized.

Description
Plagiarism involves presenting another person's work, ideas, words, or data as one's own without proper attribution or permission. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Directly copying text, phrases, or substantial portions of another's work without using quotation marks and appropriate citation
  • Paraphrasing another's work too closely without providing adequate attribution
  • Using figures, tables, data, or research results from other sources without proper acknowledgment or permission
  • Presenting ideas, theories, or interpretations from others as one's own original thought
  • Self-plagiarism, also known as redundant or overlapping publication, which involves reusing significant portions of one's own previously published work without appropriate citation or justification

Plagiarism is a serious breach of academic and publication ethics and is unacceptable in any form. Devotion: Jurnal Pengabdian Psikologi  expects all authors to scrupulously acknowledge the work and ideas of others. However, properly cited excerpts and quotations, where the original author or source is credited, are not considered plagiarism.

Policy

  • Screening: All manuscripts submitted to Devotion: Jurnal Pengabdian Psikologi undergo a plagiarism check prior to being sent to reviewers.
  • Tool: Devotion: Jurnal Pengabdian Psikologi uses Turnitin as the tool to check the level of similarity in submitted manuscripts.
  • Similarity Index: The maximum limit of similarity score accepted by Devotion: Jurnal Pengabdian Psikologi  Set is below 25%.
  • Consequences of Plagiarism:
    • If a manuscript is found to have a similarity score above 25%, it will be returned to the author to be revised for the plagiarized content before it can proceed further in the review process.
    • If plagiarism is discovered in a published article, the journal will investigate the matter thoroughly. If confirmed, the article will be retracted, and the authors' institutions may be notified.

Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their submissions and for correctly citing all sources used. Authors should ensure they have obtained permission to use any copyrighted material included in their manuscript.
