Abstract

The Siti Aisyah Mosque in Manahan is known as the "Kotak Mosque," a reference to its shape, which is entirely covered in marble, creating a luxurious impression. The easiest way to remember it is the "Kotak Mosque." This mosque is a place of worship for the Muslim community, where the five daily prayers (hablum minallah) and the habilum minannas are performed religious and social studies. The mosque building is dominated by massive walls made of granite and reinforced concrete which cover an area of approximately 80% and the remaining 20% are glass openings. The type of material for the building envelope aims to protect excess heat in the building, such as the use of wall materials, glass, window sizes and roof types. This study aims to evaluate the Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV) of the Siti Aisyah Mosque in Manahan based on SNI 6389: 2020. The calculation results show that the OTTV value on the East facade reaches 38.99 W/m² exceeding the maximum limit of 35 W/m². The OTTV value on the South facade reaches 32.25 W/m² and the West side reaches 20.54 W/m² which indicates that it is in accordance with the standard below the threshold of 32.25 W/m². Therefore, the modification simulation was carried out on the East side facade only with four sheath variables, namely changing the wall paint color to semi-gloss white, using 6 mm Cool Lite ST 108 Neutral glass, 8 mm Low-e Glass and 12 mm double glass. The results of the OTTV variable modification on the East side facade can result in a decrease in the total OTTV value from 30.6 W/m² to 27 W/m².
