Abstract

This study aims to compare the management of Using cultural tourism products in three tourism villages in Banyuwangi Regency—Kemiren, Tamansari, and Gintangan—in an effort to strengthen the concept of smart tourism based on local wisdom. The research employs a qualitative comparative approach, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Findings reveal that all three villages possess unique cultural assets, both tangible and intangible, yet differ in management strategies, community involvement, government support, and digital information implementation. Kemiren excels in cultural preservation and digital promotion, Tamansari integrates nature tourism and culinary heritage, while Gintangan shows innovative potential but requires digital capacity building. This study highlights the importance of integrating cultural preservation with information technology to support the sustainability of cultural tourism in the digital era.
