It is necessary to have an appropriate emotion regulation strategy to adapt and overcome adversities. Two regulatory strategies are commonly used in everyday life, namely expressive suppression and cognitive reappraisal regulatory strategies. This study aims to determine whether resilience mediates the relationship between cognitive reappraisal emotion regulation strategies and life satisfaction. Data was collected online using the ERQ, BRS, and SWLS questionnaires on 164 students of University X (133 female and 31 male). The data processing results using OLS regression-based path analysis show that resilience partially mediates the relationship between cognitive reappraisal emotion regulation strategies and life satisfaction.
